Everyone loves a good barbecue but sometimes the weather does not cooperate, so here is a super easy barbecued chicken. Of course you can use whatever chicken pieces you would like and any sauce, either store bought or make your own.
- 3-3½ pounds chicken legs
- 2 cups barbecue sauce
- garlic powder
- seasoned salt
- salt and pepper
Preheat oven to 350ºF. Pat chicken dry with paper towels and season all sides with garlic powder, seasoned salt, salt and pepper. Place chicken on a rack set inside a baking sheet or jelly roll pan and cover tightly with foil. Bake on lower oven rack for 45 minutes.
Remove chicken from oven and discard foil. Brush all sides thoroughly with barbecue sauce and bake uncovered for another 30 minutes. Turn the temperature up to 450ºF and cook for 5 more minutes until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
